Functional bandaging allows partial and adequate immobilization of the joint that has suffered a traumatic event. Functional bandaging is also used to prevent the occurrence of a traumatic event that has already occurred.
Functional bandaging is used to drain the joints involved in the injury and compress the area affected by the injury to prevent the formation of any effusion or hematoma.
Functional bandaging is not possible if there are recent fractures, circulatory disorders and dermatological diseases, large open injuries or tendon ruptures.
