Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1988, he then specialized in Digestive System Surgery and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Milan in 1993. During his career he then decided to specialize in Breast cancer, becoming an expert in benign and malignant breast pathology and in plastic surgery in the oncological field. Before joining the Humanitas Research Hospital, he worked at the Milan Polyclinic and the Cancer Institute of the Milanese capital.
