A filler is an aesthetic medicine treatment aimed at “filling” (from the English “to fill”) skin folds or restoring the lost volume to the face.
The filler, in most cases consisting of hyaluronic acid, is used for correction of facial wrinkles (nasolabial grooves, marionette wrinkles), filling depressions left by surgical scars or acne, and augmentation and reshaping of thin lip volume.
Resorbable products, such as hyaluronic acid, available in different formulations, are chosen according to the site to be treated and the patient’s condition and guarantee excellent results, allowing the patient to return to the original situation over time or to maintain the result obtained simply by repeating the treatment after a few months.

The filler is usually performed on an outpatient basis without the need for anesthesia, which, however, can be used (in the cream or injection form) if the patient wishes.
You cannot undergo filler injections if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have ongoing herpes infections, if you have autoimmune diseases, if you have coagulopathies or collagenopathies, and if you have a suspected or established allergy to fillers.
