The study of the anatomy, diseases and physiology of the respiratory system (lungs and organs involved in the respiratory act, including the trachea and bronchi) are the object of analysis of a specific branch of Medicine: pulmonology.
A pulmonological examination is therefore recommended to monitor or diagnose or rule out disorders or diseases related to the lungs and bronchi. A pulmonological examination is also booked for sleep apnea, prolonged expectoration and/or with traces of blood, breathlessness at rest, difficulty breathing, chest pain (pain in the chest when coughing or breathing deeply), and shortness of breath .
